At Pitti Immagine Filati 94, the first training module featuring a series of seminars on creating sustainable fashion
The fashion design education landscape sees the addition of a new and exciting opportunity. The partnership among the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, Pitti Immagine, and UniCredit has led to the launch of the "CFMI Academy." The initiative, also involving collaborations with Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, Polimoda, ZDHC Academy, and Consorzio Physis, will debut at Pitti Immagine Filati 94

Why CFMI Academy
CFMI Academy aims to bridge the gap between Fashion Design students and the fashion sector, offering high-level training focused on industrial culture and sustainability. The goal is to integrate academic education with practical operational issues that young professionals face. Sustainability will be the main focus of these activities, with particular emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) themes.

The CFMI Academy was created to help the faculties of Italian academies stay current on the most pressing issues for the younger generations involved in fashion, such as sustainability and various ESG-related topics. To this end, we have selected a team of consultants working with leading fashion brands or addressing ESG issues at a senior level.

— Antonella Mansi, president of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana

In the context of our partnership with Pitti Immagine, we aim to support young talents in the fashion sector: we believe it is crucial to continue investing in education, a lever to enhance the knowledge transmission process, aiming to raise the qualitative standards typical of Made in Italy. This means making our work tangible and contributing to community progress by establishing collaborations to deliver concrete content. Hence the creation of the Academy with which, together with Pitti and other prestigious partners, we are committed to developing training programs that promote the spread of a more sustainable industrial culture, making the theoretical education provided in schools closer to the operational themes experienced by companies in the sector.

— Annalisa Areni, Head of Client Strategies at UniCredit Italia
