Tollegno 1900 is a world leader in the manufacture of worsted yarns for knitwear and it’s specialized in Merino wool and fine fibers. The process is entirely carried out in its own factories, to guarantee careful control over the entire production process, from raw material to finished yarn. The Company is based in Tollegno (Biella district, Northern Italy) since the end of the XIX century and has sale offices in New York, Hong Kong and Osaka. The annual production exceeds 4,000 tons. and due to a flexible organization, Tollegno 1900 can guarantee a quick and efficient service. High quality, innovation and respect for the environment are the pillars of Tollegno 1900 business. Every day, a purification plant processes 2,300 - 2,500 cubic meters of water, and thanks to a brand new osmosis plant built in 2018, 50% of the water can be reused. Part of the factories’ roofs is covered with photovoltaic solar panels and a hydroelectric plant with 2 water turbines can generate approximately 580 kilowatts/hour. To follow its policy of total sustainability, Tollegno 1900 has achieved two important Wool standard certifications: RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) and NATIVA Precious Fibre.
