The Feel The Yarn® competition returns for its sixteenth year, choosing "Wishlist" as its theme. This edition introduces new voting procedures and timing, and once again promotes collaboration between designers from international knitwear schools and the yarn mills that are members of the Consorzio Promozione Filati – CPF.

Each year, students from all over the world, representing some of the most prestigious fashion schools, compete with both technical skill and creativity. The goal remains the same: to identify and promote young talent in knitwear and fashion design by showcasing their ability to develop original creations that highlight the potential of the most innovative Italian yarns.

35 students have been selected by Ornella Bignami, the long-standing patron of the competition, to take part in this year’s contest. Accordingly, 35 yarn manufacturers, all members of the CPF, have joined the project in partnership with the participants.

For the first time, online voting on the official website feeltheyarn.it will take place at the same time as voting by visitors to the trade fair. All the contestants' outfits will be showcased during Pitti Filati, with the aim of highlighting and celebrating each designer's individual talents.
